What’s New for 2024?

Oh my goodness! How is it already 2024? It feels like just yesterday we were still writing “2022” on our puppies’ birthdays… But here we are, and we have an exciting year ahead of us!

New Newsletter!

In case you missed it… We started a Newsletter in November 2023, and we got some pretty positive feedback on it! We were excited because it gave us a chance to spotlight our puppies, blog posts from the previous month, as well as remind people of what litters are coming up next and what’s going on in our lives! It’s really given us another opportunity to share what’s going on and share little tidbits about our puppies that we feel wouldn’t fit in other places.

New Policies!

I know, I know… Who the heck wants to listen to me blab on and on about new policies? BORING! Let me just say one thing about this, OK? By having new policies and adjusting things as often as we can yearly, we are able to keep up with everything, but also cut back on the things that aren’t as needed. If you’re an owner of a small business, make sure to re-evaluate your expenses! There may be little things that you are able to cut back on that will make everybody’s lives better! For us it’s cutting back on some hours for employees (which is a relief for some of us), as well as reducing the amount of genetic testing we do for our puppies that may not even need it. Those little things can add up, and it’s important to make sure that you’re always setting you and your business up for success!

New Process!

Another small change to our program is that we’re going to be adjusting our processes. We have a specific order we like to send emails out in, and this changes and evolves with our understanding of what and when customers will need certain information. We’re going to be adding another Follow-Up email after puppies to go home to remind them of previous emails and resources we’ve sent them, get an update on how the puppy is doing in their new home, and inform them of other little things they’ll need to know! Julie & I are excited to get this project out of the way, so that it can be a smoother process for our customers overall!

We’d love to hear your guys’ suggestions for what you think would be a great addition to our process. Here’s our current outlined process. We welcome your ideas!

  1. Welcome

  2. Contract

  3. Training Resources

  4. Life’s Abundance

  5. Wellness

  6. Grooming

  7. AKC Package Email (for those opted in via the contract)

  8. Preparations to Come Home

  10. (NEW) Thank You & Reminders

New Puppies - Duh!

While we have plenty of puppies to choose from right now, there are always more litters to look forward to here at Idaho Jewels Poodles! We always have more puppies coming up! The following puppies should be ready to go in March/April (Early 2024)!

  • Piper & Zion’s Solid Red “Tiny Toy” & “Teacup” Poodle Litter, Due: January 11th, Expecting 2-3 Puppies

  • Zelda & Durango’s Solid Red & Red Abstract “Tiny Toy” and Toy Poodle Litter, Due: January 11th, Expecting 3-5 Puppies

  • Elle & Knox’s Red Parti Large Mini/Small Moyen Poodle Litter, Due: January 18th, Expecting 1-2 Puppies

  • Gabrielle & Snickers’ Black/Brown Phantom Abstract & Tri-colored Oversized Toy/Small Mini Poodle Litter, Due: January 26th, Expecting 3-5 Puppies

What puppies are after that? Well, you’re just going to have to follow along to see what’s next because I can’t confirm pregnancies until a month out from their due date. Just you wait… we are breeding for more litters, and are plenty excited for what’s to come!
