Tips & Tricks from Baxter & Bella

The following is an excerpt from an email we received from Baxter & Bella. This information was very well put-together, and we thought it’d be helpful to share on our blog for easy access for anyone who’s considering opting into Baxter & Bella’s training program. We hope you enjoy!

SIMPLE THINGS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Each year I like to look back on the previous year and note the lessons learned, ways I grew and became even a little better, setbacks, achievements, the highs and the lows and appreciate the overall experience of being alive.

Then I look forward to the new year and make a list of hopes, dreams, things I want to get rid of, things I want to gain, traits I want to strengthen and traits I want to change. Then I set realistic expectations for myself to help me become who I want to be in 2024. Every day a little better.

At BAXTER & Bella we want to help you achieve the goals you set for you and your dog in 2024! Whether you are bringing a new puppy home or have an older dog who has a few behavioral things you'd like to change, we are here to help. Our goal is to help you live the best life possible with your dog! We want your dog to be part of the family - one who can live in your home and enjoy daily life with you and the ones you love.

Check out our upcoming classes and courses to help set off your New Year right. Our Basic Training (puppy kindergarten), Intermediate Training and Games & Activities courses all start in the next few weeks. Sign up today on our CLASSES & COURSES page in our MEMBERS ONLY area.

Also, a NEW course, AKC Home Manners, starts Tuesday, January 16th and runs for four weeks. We give you the basics of training a dog to live in your home successfully. You may participate just to learn - OR - earn AKC titles by coming to class, then making a video of you and your dog passing off the test items. We will evaluate your videos and send you the appropriate AKC paperwork for you to apply for the title!

All good things. 2024 - It's going to be a good one!

Happy Training,

Amy & Team

LOOKING FOR TRAINING HELP?

You need THE ONLINE PUPPY SCHOOL, a step-by-step online training program that is as much about teaching your dog how to appropriately act as it is about coaching you how to effectively train!

With easy-to-follow lesson plans, short but thorough video demos, helpful charts and checklists, outlined socialization activities as well as other great resources, we show you exactly what we do and how we do it.

And if that's not enough, we include LIVE! video conferencing so we can virtually be in your home training with you! In-home training combined with our online curriculum is the way to go when training your puppy. Let us simplify your puppy training process.

Puppies of the Week

The best pups to highlight for this post’s topic should be the pups that we deem to have the most potential for future training. If you’re looking for an eager-to-please pup, look no further than these wonderful pups! Sugar’s babies are very photogenic… I mean, look at them! Despite their adorable-nature, they all stay pretty still for their pictures, and have a pretty high tolerance for being groomed. These lovely pups are very eager to please. If you want them to sit, they will. We don’t teach our puppies commands like sit, stay, come, etc., but these babies would do amazing and make for a relatively easy training experience for their new owners.
